    It’s crazy Sofia considered her a friend and Alex talk about her like she was just some random person, and maybe she was but the difference in how they talk about each other is crazy.

      true, its like Alex needs to distance herself from the truth and villainize Sofia in order to cope with what she did.

      Nah I think Sofia is the type of person who will listen to whoever has their claws in her atm and I think Alex is talking about her like that is bc it's been years and she doesn't think of her constantly. Sofia also comes of rude, conceded and has unbelievable standards that reach the moon

    According to Dave Portnoy, Sofia did not want to take the deal. And he sat both of them down and asked to sign it and Sofia refused. I dont know why Alex is being blamed for other people's choices.

      Because Sofia thought they could do better outside barstool & wanted to leave with Alex but Alex went behind her back and signed a solo deal. And then wouldn’t let her come back 50/50. Essentially cutting sofia out. That’s why some people blame Alex

    This podcast is the one of the best interview type of videos together with call her daddy podcast. I started watching her with Jay Shetty where he is asking cheesy simple questions and pleased every guest. I like the way how they talk and reflect in the same time everything. This host is kinda pathologist and super smart 😍 alex is incredible person too, with special energy and positivity

    I can picture Sofia being a wreck in her personal life at that time BUT that is also what created dynamite on the podcast, she’s beyond entertaining. And I see her everywhere lately, she’s gonna be huge again with this healthier mind set while still have a ton of life experience and brutal honesty which Alex lacks. Sky’s the limit for Sofia right now.

    • @Calli258

      Sofia is still just as unhealthy now, if not more, than she was back then. Her recent breakup episode is all about her serial cheating on her ex bf with multiple affairs & starting a new relationship from one of those affairs before breaking up with the other bf. She has a problematic relationship with drugs (and alcohol) & has shown up to record podcasts high and/or drunk. She is making no moves to change her self-destructive patterns. Sofia has had no growth in 6 years, and she’s about to be 32 & wants marriage next year, despite admitting she still thinks cheating is okay before marriage & that she’ll divorce if her future husband doesn’t allow her to cheat 10 years into the marriage once she gets bored. I’ve been Team Sofia since she left CHD, but I don’t know how much longer I can support her while she continues to be toxic with no regard for the betrayal trauma she inflicts on every guy she’s been involved with.

    I live under a rock (in terms of knowing anything about what’s happening in any sort of news or popular media) so had never heard of Call Her Daddy or Alex Cooper until this interview.
    I discovered DOAC when a friend of mine shared the Gabor Maté episode.
    I’ve heard quite a lot of Gabor Maté’s teachings, and enjoyed the DOAC interview with him.
    Anyway, because of Alex Cooper being featured here, I went and checked out loads of her content. It was a rabbit hole that was interesting and now I am acquainted with her and her work. But it’s not a rabbit hole I’ll continue to go down 😂😂😂
    My thoughts for now - Alex Cooper produces content catering to disregulated minds, and though she’s very skilled at editing and performing in a way that can hold the attention and interest of her audience, unfortunately all of the content I watched and listened to had no healing or transformative value. Like throwing chocolate bars at unhealthy children. Yes they’ll go for it. But it won’t make them feel any better, or get any healthier.

      @@selfloveroadmap The problem with your comment is that your insinuating that a podcast making you feel better or worse should be the reason for why you should watch a podcast. You can watch a podcast just for the views and listen to different perspectives. Not everything has to improve your life or whatever it may be. If that's what you want then that's fine but a podcast can still be valuable without needing to make someone feel better or worse. I've watched and watch many podcasts and none of them really make me feel better or worse because it's not something I look for in a podcast. I listen to them just for a perspective. Whether it's good messaging or not. Sometimes just listening to a different perspective is just as good as podcast content that makes you feel good or avoiding it because it makes you feel worse.

    • @selfloveroadmap

      @@sucram1018 haha i didn’t mean to insinuate anything, just share my views ☺️ and i would never claim the right to declare something as valuable or not, in some absolute sense, for all people.
      thanks for sharing a little bit about how you consume podcasts, that’s interesting.
      my comment wasn’t intended for you, but for those who consume a lot of content that contributes to them feeling worse about themselves and their lives - but who have never made a link between content they consume, and their mental state.
      i’m passionate about helping and supporting people who want and need that help. my comment was for them. not you.

      @jamie9238 Год назад +3

      I see what you mean however I dont think that’s a job of a podcast. I think some can be for self help and some can literally be “I just want to hear about this celebrity’s life”

    • @selfloveroadmap
      @selfloveroadmap Год назад +1

      @@jamie9238 yes, a podcast can be about anything, and serve vastly different purposes. and of course, each person chooses what they want to consume.
      I help people who suffer with stress, anxiety, lack of clarity, lack of purpose, lack of motivation, lack of direction, intrusive thoughts, unwanted habits. in 100% of these cases, a part of what’s fuelling their problems is what they feed their minds.
      “i just want to hear about this celebrity’s life” is absolutely fine. each person absolutely needs to decide for themselves what they want. but they also deserve to make informed choices, knowing when something is hurting them or getting in their way. like when someone buys a pack of cigarettes, fine. but they deserve to know that “smoking kills” (that’s what’s printed on all tobacco products here in the UK).
      I’m not here to criticise anyone’s podcast. i am here to remind people that what they consume directly and powerfully affects them. they deserve to know.

    According to Dave Portnoy, Sofia's boyfriend was telling them that he could get them more money fhey left Barstool. So, unbeknownst to Dave Portnoy, he started shopping the podcast around to media outlets. Dave was willing to sign a new deal that would give them more money and would sign over the IP of the show to them, which Dave owned at the time. Alex wanted to take the deal. Sofia kept listening to her boyfriend and didn't want to take the deal. In the end, Alex took the deal, and went on to more success. Sofia's boyfriend literally cost her millions.

    • @Calli258

      Sofia has said that she made those choices, not her boyfriend. It’s Sofia’s fault for negotiating in bad faith with more and more demands to the contract, as well as Sofia’s choice to not answer calls from Dave & Alex when they tried to reach her before signing it. It was also Sofia’s choice to refuse her own show with Barstool that Dave offered her after she blew the CHD contract renewal. Sofia cost herself millions, and she has said it was all her, not Suitman.

      I was in a band right after high school, we were about to get signed with a record label deal. Anyway, none of us wanted stuck in a van with this prick for 2 years and broke up.
      Sure, you can say "Well, you were too stupid to sign. You shouldn't be so stupid".

And if so… was Sofia compensated appropriately given the huge deal that came as a result of it. If Alex can honestly say Sofia had zero to do with that deal… then move on, it’s done. But if Sofia had a hand in the reason that Spotify bought the podcast then… that’s kinda sh*tty😬
